Job summary

Nox Group is seeking Field Engineer Interns to assist our field teams on construction projects during a 12-week internship program. Interns may rotate through Preconstruction/Estimating, Industrial, and Manufacturing tracks, working with experienced Project Managers and Engineers through the project life cycle.

You will gain hands-on experience in field operations, surveying, documentation, and project coordination while developing practical skills and professional relationships with our teams.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a four-year Construction Management or Engineering program.
• Ability to communicate effectively with others.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Positive and teachable attitude.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with Project Engineers and Field Superintendents to support field operations and safety compliance.
• Perform surveying and layout work to guide installations and generate lift drawings.
• Participate in quality control programs and inspections to meet standards.
• Attend daily and weekly project meetings to track progress and coordinate activities.
• Manage and organize contract documents, drawings, specs, RFIs, and submittals to keep the project on track.
• Promptly report field issues to the Project Engineer and Field Superintendent.
• Track installed quantities and report weekly for cost control and progress.
• Oversee storage and maintenance of on-site equipment and materials.
• Maintain accurate record drawings and as-builts per contract requirements.
• Manage permit documents such as dust control and SWPPP related items.
• Capture weekly project progress photos for stakeholder updates.
• Share knowledge and mentor junior team members.
• Build rapport with owners, clients, engineers, and trade partners to ensure contractual compliance.
