Qualifications

Must be pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in civil engineering, construction management or related.
Must be able to travel or relocate as needed.
Must be able to work full-time during the summer (May–August).
Must have access to construction sites in varying climates and environments.
Demonstrated ethics, integrity, and safety mindset.
Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
Team player who can work independently to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

Field engineering, operation planning, cost control, project scheduling, quantity tracking, material procurement, contract administration, estimating & supervision of field activities
Performing engineering tasks requiring standard techniques and handling minor problems of a technical nature arising during construction
Maintaining records regarding job progress, costs, material usage
Planning and scheduling of job segments
Investigating problems and proposing solutions
Reviewing plans and specifications for material requirements and pricing
Working with suppliers to facilitate material delivery
