Job summary

Kiewit Corporation in the United States Eastern District offers a Summer 2027 Engineer Intern program in Field Operations. This hands-on internship provides real-world learning related to construction management, with exposure to bridge, tunnel, and energy projects.

You will relocate as needed, travel, and work full-time during May–August, pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in civil, electrical, construction management or related fields, while developing technical and professional

Qualifications

• Travel or relocate as needed.
• Full-time during the summer (May–August).
• Pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in civil/ electrical/ construction management or related field.
• Ability to access all points of a construction site in varied climates and environments.

Responsibilities

• Field engineering, operation planning, cost control, project scheduling and material procurement.
• Handling standard engineering tasks arising during construction.
• Maintaining records on job progress and costs.
• Planning and scheduling of job segments.
• Investigating problems and proposing solutions.
• Reviewing plans and specifications for material requirements and pricing.
• Coordinating with suppliers to expedite material delivery.
