Job summary

FlatironDragados invites promising students to join its Intern Program in Alexandria, VA. You will work with project managers and engineers on real-world civil projects, gaining hands-on experience in field conditions, surveys, QA/QC testing, and document control while supporting scheduling decisions.

We seek currently enrolled engineering or construction management students eager to apply classroom knowledge to live construction sites and learn from experienced professionals in a collaborative

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related program at an accredited college/university.
• Strong interest in field engineering and construction management.
• Willingness to learn and support on-site teams with documentation and testing.

Responsibilities

• Assist with evaluation of field conditions and acceptance testing.
• Support QA/QC engineering materials testing.
• Apply survey knowledge to assist with project layout and checks.
• Review project drawings and coordinate design changes.
• Provide document control for correspondence and submittals.
• Initiate engineering design clarifications.
• Perform quantity tracking and productivity analysis.
• Assist with updating project schedule and scheduling decisions.
• Respond to field design clarifications and manage subcontractors.
• Provide design assistance to the project engineer for temporary structures using CAD tools.
