Kiewit is offering an internship in its Northwest District with hands-on learning in construction management. You will develop and participate in key roles within the field, and placement will align with your skills and Kiewit's needs across markets.

This summer internship requires pursuing civil engineering or construction management degrees, willingness to travel or relocate, and full-time availability from June through August.

Qualifications

• Pursuing undergraduate or graduate degree in civil engineering, construction management or related.
• Willing to travel/relocate as needed.
• Available to work full-time during the summer (June–August).
• Demonstrates ethics, safety focus and initiative.

Responsibilities

• Field engineering, planning, cost control, scheduling, quantity tracking, procurement, contract administration and supervision.
• Perform engineering tasks using standard techniques and solve minor construction problems.
• Maintain records regarding progress, costs and material usage.
• Plan and schedule job segments.
• Investigate problems and propose solutions.
• Review plans and specifications for material requirements and pricing.
• Coordinate with suppliers to facilitate material delivery.
