Job summary

William Charles Construction, part of MasTec's Clean Energy & Infrastructure, is seeking Construction Field Engineer Interns for Summer 2026 in Terre Haute, IN. The interns will support the Project Manager and Construction Manager on their assigned project and help implement project quality plans and site-specific plans.

Travel to Terre Haute and Clinton, Indiana is required. The role involves assisting with material inventory, receiving, audits, RFI submittals, and closeout documentation;

Qualifications

• Pursuing undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or safety/health disciplines.
• Other applicable degrees include Electrical/Mechanical Engineering.
• Comfortable with exposure to dirt, heat, and noise.
• 100% project travel required.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0.

Responsibilities

• Performs field survey work using PC software and GPS equipment.
• Assist with quality control records and reporting.
• Assist with planning, scheduling, and audits/inspections.
• Assist with material inventory and receiving paperwork.
• Assist with final job closeout, as-builts, and job binder creation.
• Assist with subcontractor scheduling and management.
• Assist with RFI submittals.
• Extended hours and weekend work may be required.
• Other duties as assigned.
