Job summary

Encore Electric, Inc. seeks a Field Engineer Intern to support the project team on site in Salt Lake City. This 3–6 month internship assists the PM, SUPT, and field staff by keeping drawings updated with submittals and RFIs, tracking shipments and long-lead items, and communicating details to the team.

You'll gain hands-on experience with 2-D AutoCAD and coordination with vendors and general contractors while upholding Encore's core values.

Qualifications

• High school diploma with sophomore-level construction management or related field; construction experience preferred.
• Knowledge of General Construction Standards and National Electric Code.
• Strong written and oral communication with multitasking ability.

Responsibilities

• Review specifications and perform material takeoffs; track submittals from vendors.
• Track material related to the job and maintain project manual filing.
• Generate letters and memos; write, log and track RFIs.
• Obtain quotes, track major material and ensure PO compliance with specs.
• Update field drawings with changes and support 2-D AutoCAD work.
• Assist with project closeout documents and owner training coordination.
