Job summary

Apex Companies, LLC is seeking a proactive Inspector / Field Engineer to support construction management of public works and civil infrastructure projects. The role requires on-site field activities, reading and interpreting plans, and documenting daily progress with precision.

The candidate will coordinate with contractors and project teams, maintain detailed records, and ensure compliance with project specifications and safety norms.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; construction inspection/field engineering experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret civil plans, specifications, and drawings.
• Strong written communication; ability to produce clear daily inspection reports.
• Ability to travel to project sites; valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Perform construction inspection and field engineering on public works and civil infrastructure projects.
• Read, interpret, and verify plans, specs, schedules, and contract documents.
• Prepare complete, accurate daily inspection reports and logs with measurements and observations.
• Coordinate with contractors, engineers, and project stakeholders to resolve field issues.
• Maintain organized project records, photos, and supporting documentation.
• Ensure compliance with codes, standards, and safety practices.
