Job summary

Apex Companies is seeking an Inspector / Field Engineer to support construction management and field engineering for public works and civil infrastructure projects. This on-site role requires reading and interpreting plans, preparing daily inspection reports, and coordinating with contractors and project stakeholders.

The position emphasizes field inspection, documentation, and adherence to approved plans and standards.

Qualifications

• Engineering background with EIT certification.
• Desirable PE licensure.
• Strong ability to read and interpret civil engineering plans and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Perform construction inspection and field engineering on public works and civil infrastructure projects.
• Observe conformance with plans, specs, and codes.
• Maintain daily inspection reports and construction logs with site conditions and activities.
• Maintain organized photographic documentation of progress and conditions.
• Monitor contractor workmanship and identify non-conforming work.
