Job summary

Balfour Beatty US is seeking a Field Engineer to support infrastructure construction projects at active sites. You will provide technical expertise, field coordination, and ensure safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.

The role requires 5–10 years of related construction experience, a Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or construction management, and proficiency with AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and Procore. This on-site position offers a competitive salary and benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, Construction Management, or related field is preferred.
• 5–10 years of related construction experience, internships/co-op experience in infrastructure projects is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of construction documents, drawings, and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, scheduling, and coordinating daily construction activities in alignment with project goals.
• Review drawings, specifications, and contract documents to ensure proper implementation in the field.
• Track progress and prepare daily reports on labor, equipment, and materials.
• Coordinate with superintendents, foremen, subcontractors, and inspectors to resolve field issues.
• Provide layout and surveying assistance for structures, utilities, drainage, and roadways.
• Verify dimensions, elevations, and alignments of construction work.
• Prepare, review, and maintain project documentation, including RFIs, submittals, and field changes.
• Support quality control by monitoring work for compliance with standards and project requirements.
• Promote and enforce company and project safety policies in the field.
