Job summary

QuidelOrtho is seeking a Field Engineer I to support customers across the South Carolina territory, primarily around Myrtle Beach. You will install, troubleshoot, and maintain electromechanical equipment in hospital and clinical settings, with a company car, gas card, cell phone and laptop provided.

Expect extensive travel and on-site customer interaction. Required is an Associate's degree in Electronics or Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or related field, plus at least 4 years of field

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level or equivalent education/experience in electronics or electro-mechanical systems.
• Minimum 4 years installing, operating, maintaining, repairing electromechanical equipment in the field.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel 50–75% initially and up to 75% long-term.

Responsibilities

• Install, operate, maintain, repair, and modify electromechanical equipment in customer environments.
• Provide technical analysis and determine solutions per product specs and customer needs.
• Deliver on-site training and act as the local on-site representative for customers.
• Manage territory responsibilities including preventive maintenance and software/hardware upgrades.
• Maintain parts, complete training, and report expenses.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
