Job summary

Strata, LLC in Houston, Texas seeks an Engineer to join our team delivering design, drilling, and maintenance of subsurface salt caverns and injection wells. You will lead field engineering, design and modeling, and project management for midstream oil and gas clients, with exposure to energy storage and carbon sequestration projects.

Travel up to 60% is required; you will work with clients, support business development, and provide technical leadership across multiple projects while upholding

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum, Mining, Mechanical, Chemical, or Civil Engineering from ABET‑accredited university.
• Master’s degree in the same fields (preferred). ABET‑accredited university.

Responsibilities

• Well testing and Mechanical Integrity Testing for salt caverns and injection wells; design, coordinate services and report results.
• Supervise cased-hole well logging, site surveying, and other well-site activities.
• Complete solution-mining modeling, thermodynamic modeling, and wellbore hydraulic analysis; support cavern design and drilling/ completion analyses.
• Lead and coordinate small projects; support project controls including schedule, cost, and contracting.

Education

ABET-accredited degree in Petroleum, Mining, Mechanical, Chemical or Civil Engineering

ABET-accredited Master’s degree in Petroleum, Mining, Mechanical, Chemical or Civil Engineering
