Job summary

Nightwing provides advanced cyber, data operations, and systems integration solutions to the intelligence and defense communities. The Field Engineer serves as the technical face of our cyber products, handling deployment, support, and customer training.

Responsibilities

• Support integration, fielding, and ongoing support of cyber products in customer environments.
• Deploy software and perform system integration tasks.
• Develop and maintain user manuals and integration guides.
• Coordinate customer feedback with product development teams.
• Provide training to customers on product usage.
• Travel to customer sites up to 50% of the time.

Qualifications

• Strong technical troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
• Experience with software deployment and system integration.
• Excellent customer communication (verbal and written).
• Ability to work independently in customer environments.
• Experience with system/application debugging.
• System administration and security of Linux and/or Windows operating systems.
• Knowledge of networking concepts and protocols.
• Technical documentation skills (user manuals, integration guides).
• Experience supporting government/DoD customers.
• Understanding of OS internals (Linux and/or Windows).
• Knowledge of C/C++ for troubleshooting.
• Bash and/or Batch scripting for automation.
• Experience with build systems and software installation.
• Familiarity with TPM, Secure Boot, and DoD system security standards (RMF, Cyber Resiliency, Anti‑Tamper).
• Experience with virtualization technologies (QEMU, KVM, VMware, VirtualBox, Hyper‑V).
• Experience with ticketing and support systems (ServiceNow, Jira).
• Ability to synthesize customer feedback for product improvement.

Clearance & Citizenship

Security clearance: Secret. Must be U.S. citizen and able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
