Job summary

Traylor Bros., Inc. is seeking a Field Engineer to support planning, design, and supervision of heavy civil construction projects, including bridges and marine works. The role requires analyzing survey data, coordinating with superintendents, and guiding subcontractors on field execution.

You will perform quality inspections, promote safety, and assist in cost and schedule control while relocating as needed for active sites and travel to project locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil engineering or related field.
• 1–3 years experience in heavy civil construction.
• Bridge construction experience strongly preferred.
• Marine construction experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, design, and supervise day-to-day field activities on heavy civil projects.
• Analyze survey reports, drawings, plans, and specifications to guide work.
• Coordinate with Walkers/Superintendents on planning, submittals and approvals.
• Conduct regular team meetings to align on goals and expectations.
• Manage subcontractor scopes of work and material deliveries.
• Develop work plans and safety analyses for crews to follow.
• Inspect sites to ensure conformance with design and safety standards.
