Job summary

The Middlesex Corporation in Boston is seeking a Field Engineer to support on-site engineering, schedule coordination, and quality control for heavy civil projects. You will help implement construction plans, ensure safety compliance, and manage daily field activities in a fast-paced environment.

Ideal candidates hold a four-year degree in engineering or construction management and have experience in heavy civil work.

Qualifications

• Four-year engineering or construction management degree or equivalent with two years of heavy civil construction experience.
• Preferred 2+ years' construction field experience on heavy civil or infrastructure-related projects.
• Proficient computer knowledge including Microsoft Office, BlueBeam.
• Preferred experience utilizing; HCSS HeavyJob, Vista, CAD, P6.
• Must be able to freely access all parts of a construction site in wide-ranging climates and environments
• Must have a valid Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Support project execution by coordinating schedules, reviewing plans, and on-site field activities.
• Promote Safety Policies and ensure adherence to The Middlesex Corporation’s core value: Safety First, In Everything We Do.
• Develop and implement construction strategies to perform the work safely and productively.
• Assist in CPM scheduling, cost reporting, and field cost control.
• Assist with subcontractor procurement, buy-out, and scheduling.
• Prepare progress reports, RFIs, submittals, and QA/QC documentation.
