Job summary

The Middlesex Corporation in Florida seeks a Project Engineer to lead the delivery of multimillion-dollar heavy civil highway and bridge projects. You will guide field engineers, manage schedules, budgets, and subcontractors, and ensure safety and quality compliance throughout pre-construction to closeout.

This role emphasizes leadership, effective communication, and collaboration with Owners, JV Partners, and Designers to meet aggressive timelines while maintaining high standards of workmanship

Qualifications

Four-year engineering or construction management degree or equivalent.
Proficient with MS Office, BlueBeam; experience with HCSS HeavyJob, Vista, CAD, and P6 preferred.
Minimum of five years in heavy civil construction.

Responsibilities

Comply with safety policies and promote a safety-first culture.
Lead project field engineers and staff; manage execution of complex heavy-civil projects.
Develop and monitor CPM schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
Coordinate with JV partners, owners, subcontractors, and designers.
Oversee submittals, shop drawings, RFI process, and quality control.
