Wayve in Sunnyvale, CA, is hiring a Field Engineer to diagnose and resolve vehicle software and hardware issues, keeping the fleet operational. This full-time role requires 10-15% travel and a shift-based schedule in a fast-paced environment.

You will perform on-site fault triage, follow safety protocols, and collaborate with global teams to ensure rapid, accurate repairs and smooth handovers across locations.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of vehicle diagnostics and fault triage.
• Ability to troubleshoot quickly to meet strict SLAs (5-minute response).
• Clear communication with global teams and stakeholders.
• Knowledge of safety protocols and incident management.
• Experience with diagnostic tools and monitoring platforms.

Responsibilities

• Perform on-site fault triage and repair to maintain fleet uptime.
• Follow structured diagnostics protocols and ensure safe work.
• Collaborate with field engineers and cross-functional teams.
• Respond rapidly to issues to meet 5-minute response targets.
• Maintain updates with Field Engineering Lead and handovers across locations.
• Participate in 24/7 global on-call support network.
• Adhere to safety and compliance protocols.
• Suggest improvements to field engineering processes.
