Job summary

Optimal Solutions & Technologies (OST, Inc.) is seeking a Field Engineer to install, integrate, test, and support mission-critical Voice Switching and Conferencing systems for FAA customers across the United States.

This full-time position involves on-site work at customer facilities, with installations typically running one to two weeks per site. Contingent-hire based on program authorization and funding.

Qualifications

• Three to five years of telecommunications, field engineering or similar technical experience.
• Associate degree in a related technical discipline or equivalent experience.
• Hands-on experience installing, integrating, testing, or troubleshooting hardware and software systems.

Responsibilities

• Conduct site surveys and identify installation requirements.
• Install, configure, and integrate communications hardware and software at customer sites.
• Test, troubleshoot, repair, and support system cutovers.
• Coordinate field activities with customers, subcontractors, and engineering teams.
• Complete required installation, configuration, and test documentation.
• Communicate project status and technical issues to the appropriate team members.
