Job summary

VoltaGrid LLC is seeking a Field Engineer in Midland, TX, to oversee technical, operational, reliability, and safety performance of power generation and natural gas assets. You will act as the on-site senior engineering authority, coordinating troubleshooting, maintenance optimization, and regulatory compliance with plant personnel and customers.

The role requires leadership in reliability improvement, incident investigations, and coordination with multidisciplinary teams across field offices

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in power generation, industrial operations, plant engineering, field operations, or related technical environments.
• Strong understanding of power generation systems, electrical and mechanical equipment, controls, and instrumentation.
• Ability to travel to other VoltaGrid facilities and customer locations as required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Professional Engineering credentials or industry-specific certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and oversight for plant operations and serve as the primary technical contact for customer representatives and site personnel.
• Monitor plant performance and respond to interruptions, equipment failures, and abnormalities.
• Lead troubleshooting efforts and coordinate corrective actions to restore service safely and efficiently.
• Conduct root cause analysis for power disruptions, equipment failures, and incidents.
• Develop corrective action plans, incident reports, and reliability improvements.
• Promote and enforce a strong safety culture across the facility.
