Amentum is seeking a Field Engineer – Electrical / Mechanical Integration to join our Houston team. This role blends field electrical troubleshooting with mechanical installation support and engineering design review.

You will work from schematics and drawings to install, verify, and troubleshoot fielded hardware, mentor technicians, and document observations. This position requires 2+ years in field engineering, a STEM degree, travel, and eligibility for a U.S. government security clearance.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline; equivalent hands‑on experience may be considered.
• Minimum 2 years of hands‑on field engineering experience.
• Experience troubleshooting electrical systems, low‑voltage circuits, wiring harnesses, sensors, or instrumentation.
• Ability to read wiring diagrams, schematics, and mechanical drawings.
• Willingness to travel ~50% and obtain U.S. government security clearance.

Responsabilidades

• Perform field electrical installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of low‑voltage systems.
• Support mechanical installation and integration activities involving brackets, panels, enclosures, and mounting hardware.
• Interpret wiring diagrams, harness drawings, and installation drawings to support installation and fault isolation.
• Conduct inspections to verify conformance with design intent and safety standards.
• Document field observations, discrepancies, corrective actions, and test results.
