Job summary

Turner Construction Company in Halethorpe, MD, is seeking an Entry-level field operations assistant to support a proactive project team. You will help obtain, evaluate and coordinate information to construct the project according to contract documents, and you will help ensure safety, quality and on-time performance.

The role reports to the Project Superintendent, supports site safety, prepares daily reports, and assists in coordination and final project documentation in a cooperative,

Qualifications

• Two years of college education from an accredited program in Engineering, Construction or relevant field.
• Good interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team.
• Clear written and verbal communication abilities.
• Proficiency with computer applications and Microsoft Office.
• Basic scheduling knowledge is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform line and grade work for building layout and control.
• Assist in site safety program implementation.
• Ensure subcontractor safety compliance with Turner standards and codes.
• Maintain contract documents and electronic field operations documents.
• Assist in preparation of Daily Construction Reports (DCRs).
• Review drawings and specs for proper coordination and installation.
• Assist in preparing as-builts and project records.
• Support Turner interests in project matters as assigned.
