Job summary

McNamara Salvia is seeking an engineer/construction technologist with a strong field presence to support design and inspection operations. Responsibilities include field site work, submittal review, and performing related engineering tasks between field assignments.

The ideal candidate brings 3+ years of inspection experience on large projects, a Civil/Structural degree, and relevant certifications. Expect a competitive compensation package with comprehensive benefits and a 401(k) plan.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of inspection experience on large construction projects.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Civil/Structural or related field.
• ACI/ICC/PTI/AWS certifications preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Able to work after hours with field operations.
• Physical ability to access sites and buildings safely.

Responsibilities

• Site visits to observe field conditions and installations.
• Inspect work for compliance with building codes and adoptions.
• Document observations and reports.
• Review shop drawings, submittals, and RFIs.
• Coordinate with Engineering team for findings.
• Coordinate with clients and contractors for site visits.
