Job summary

StructureCare is seeking a Field Engineering Technician to support structural inspection processes, gather deterioration data, and document field conditions using 360 video walks and tablets. The role also supports operations, leak surveys, safety audits, and non-destructive testing as needed.

Preferred candidates have an associates or four-year construction-related degree and at least 5 years in building construction, with strong communication and field skills.

Qualifications

• Associates or four-year degree in a construction-related field is preferred, but high school education suffices.
• >5 years of experience in the building construction field.
• Familiarity with structural components, terminology, and field construction.
• Skill with electronic technology, including tablet use and photo capture.
• Ability to work independently or in a team and communicate effectively.
• Willingness to spend majority of time in the field within ~3 hours of home base; overnight travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct walk-through surveys of structures; collect photos, videos, and field data.
• Use tablets, 360 cameras, and equipment to record observations for engineering review.
• Perform chloride ion sampling and non-destructive diagnostics.
• Create field drawings with engineers; participate in real-time inspections.
• Support service and repair project management with site visits and data collection.
