Job summary

McNamara • Salvia is seeking a Concrete Construction Special Inspector to provide on‑site concrete inspection, rebar checks, and placement oversight per building codes. You will act as a professional, collaborative representative of the firm at project sites across the U.S.

and internationally. The role requires a Civil/Structural construction background, CCSI and/or PE, and 3+ years of field inspection experience with emphasis on rebar and concrete placement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil/structural or related field and relevant certifications.
• 3+ years of recent inspection experience focusing on rebar and concrete placement.
• Experience with post‑tensioning, masonry, steel inspections is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Review concrete placement on site to ensure compliance with codes and specs.
• Represent the company collaboratively on construction sites.
• Coordinate with design engineers in the office to resolve issues.
• Review construction documents and shop drawings for accuracy.
• Provide written field reports documenting inspection findings.

Be a part of a dynamic and creative, fast‑growing structural engineering firm with projects across the United States and International.

About the Role:

Concrete construction Special Inspector to provide on-site concrete - rebar, and concrete placement special inspection per building code requirements and act as a visible, professional, collaborative representative of the company at project construction sites.

Responsibilities:

• Review concrete placement
• Act as a collaborative, problem‑solving representative of the company on the construction site
• Coordinate with design engineers in office
• Review construction documents and shop drawings
• Provide written field reports

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Civil, Structural or other Construction related field
• ACI Concrete Construction Special Inspector (CCSI) and/or PE required
• 3+ years of recent inspection experience, preferably with an emphasis on rebar and concrete placement inspection
• Inspection experience in other types of construction also a plus - post‑tensioning, masonry, steel, etc

Required Skills:

• Must be able to exercise independent judgment using technical knowledge
• Strong attention to detail with emphasis on organization
• Ability to work under deadline pressure
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Proficient in MS Word, Adobe and/or Bluebeam, Procore

Compensation:

Anticipated Salary Range: base salary of $90,000 to $110,000 plus significant overtime opportunities
