Job summary

MasTec, Inc. is seeking a field engineer to provide technical engineering information to Project Managers, Craft Supervisors and Corporate Managers to ensure design development and construction work complies with all engineering standards, codes, specifications and design instructions.

The role includes project controls support (cost, scheduling, estimating) and subcontract oversight to construction supervision and craft personnel.

Qualifications

• Must have a Bachelor of Science degree in an engineering discipline from an accredited university.
• A minimum of 1–2 years of experience in construction is required.
• Prior experience with MEP projects is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Understand technical drawings and specifications for industrial construction.
• Plan and develop construction work packages for civil, structural, mechanical, electrical and process plant systems.
• Understand detailed project schedules including required predecessors and successors to each activity.
• Understand quality requirements and industry standards for various construction crafts and perform QA/QC duties as required.
• Communications skills in writing and speaking (including technical communications).
• Provide support to project controls in cost, scheduling, and estimating/re-estimating.
