Job summary

MacKay is seeking a Field Engineer to join our Atlanta team. The role requires 5–7 years of field engineering, surveying, and layout experience, including concrete construction. Proficiency with Total Station and MS Suite is essential.

You will set up control, verify dimensions against drawings, and coordinate with project leads to ensure accurate scheduling and execution, while maintaining client communication daily.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of field engineering, surveying, and layout experience on large-scale projects.
• Self-perform concrete experience is required.
• Proficiency with MS Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Google Workspace.

Responsibilities

• Sets up and maintains permanent control throughout the line and grade portion of the project.
• Validates accurate dimensions by reviewing architectural and structural drawings prior to execution.
• Identifies discrepancies in drawings prior to execution.
• Engages the project lead on the line and grade portion to ensure proper scheduling and sequencing.
• Proficient with advanced instruments and the total station for accurate layout.
• Delivers layout information to the project team for proper execution.
• Communicates with clients daily.
