Kent Companies is seeking a Field Engineer to perform precise field layout for commercial concrete projects. You will manage project startup, daily layout operations, site control verification, and assemble as-built data to support accuracy and quality.

This full-time, hybrid role requires coordinating with the FE Manager and project teams, maintaining equipment, and ensuring safety standards and deadlines are met across Houston-area job sites.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent with 7 years related experience and at least 4 years in a management position.
• Knowledge of all phases of concrete and building construction.
• Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to negotiate, resolve conflict, and work with internal and external stakeholders professionally.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to job locations.
• Ability to pass background check and drug screening; able to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Project Startup: create new project in data collector, import FE manager data, verify site control, coordinate kick-off with project team, ensure layout materials available, start layout.
• Project Maintenance: perform daily layout, stay ahead of work, communicate schedules, capture as-built information, provide data to FE manager.
• Ancillary Tasks: maintain and clean equipment, request supplies, participate in safety program.
• As-built Standards: document walls, columns, slabs, anchor bolts with tolerances and report data, deliver by monthly deadline.
