Lowe Engineers, A Part of MacKay, is seeking an Assistant Field Engineer to join the Atlanta team. The role supports the Lead Field Engineer with daily field operations, data collection, and instrument setup. No prior field engineering experience is required, but preferred, with room to grow within the department.

The position emphasizes outdoor work, proper calibration of survey tools, and accurate field documentation, with emphasis on safety and reliability.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 0–2 years of surveying experience preferred.
• Basic understanding of surveying principles.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Support efficient project completion by assisting the Lead Field Engineer with daily field operations and data collection.
• Operate and help maintain survey equipment, including total stations and data collectors.
• Set up and break down survey instruments with care to ensure proper calibration.
• Collect and record field data accurately and efficiently.
• Mark points, stake locations, and assist with construction layout activities.
• Maintain clear and organized field notes and documentation.
