Job summary

Apex Companies, LLC. is hiring a Field Engineer to support infrastructure projects in Massachusetts. You will bridge design and construction, ensuring plans are implemented on site while maintaining quality and schedule, and keeping detailed measurements for records.

The ideal candidate will have a Civil Engineering background, ability to read drawings, and be willing to learn AutoCAD/Bluebeam. Travel within Massachusetts and occasional in-office work are involved.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Experience or willingness to learn AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and/or similar tools.
• Strong understanding of construction methods and materials.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying site conditions and travel to project locations as needed.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a site representative to verify construction aligns with design plans.
• Maintain detailed notes and measurements for records.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, contractors, and subcontractors.
• Review drawings, specs for constructability and accuracy.
• Monitor project progress and provide field reports daily/weekly.
• Prepare record drawings for as-built infrastructure using AutoCAD.
