Job summary

CMC is seeking a Civil/Geotechnical Field Engineer to support Tensar Engineered Solutions on construction sites in the United States. You will install, document, and verify that installations meet design objectives, collaborating with engineers, project managers and field crews.

The role requires travel 25–50% regionally, strong communication and leadership, and the ability to present technical information. A BS in Civil Engineering and EIT/PE credentials are preferred.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering preferred.
• BS or AD in Construction Management considered.
• Certificate of Engineering in Training (EIT) or Professional Engineer (PE) preferred.
• Civil or Geotechnical Engineering, Project Engineer, or Field Technician experience preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Leadership ability to focus, prioritize and match skills to tasks.
• Ability to travel regionally 25-50% of the time.
• Prepare and deliver technical presentations and demonstrations.

Responsibilities

• Represent Tensar Engineered Solutions on assigned jobsites and ensure installation matches design.
• Attend pre-construction and progress meetings with stakeholders.
• Conduct post-construction interviews to verify design objectives.
• Document progress and submit daily progress reports to Area Engineer.
• Provide site assessments using DCP data for Tensar solutions.
• Support Area Engineer with design software, reports and submittals.
