Job summary

As a Project Engineer/Field Technician, you will engage in site-based installation oversight, collaboration with stakeholders, and technical problem solving to ensure designs are executed as intended.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and technical presentation skills.
• Experience in Civil/Geotechnical engineering projects preferred.
• Ability to travel regionally 25%–50%.
• Preparation and delivery of technical presentations.

Responsibilities

• Represent Tensar Engineered Solutions on assigned jobsites during installation and ensure installation is as designed.
• Attend pre-construction and progress meetings with project stakeholders.
• Conduct post-construction interviews to verify design objectives and performance.
• Document progress, submit daily reports, and relay feedback to Area Engineer and Regional Sales Manager.
• Provide site assessments using DCP or other methods for Tensar solutions.
• Assist Area Engineer with technical support for the sales team, including design software use and submittals.

What You'll Do

• Represent Tensar Engineered Solutions on assigned jobsites during installation and ensure installation is being performed as designed
• Attend pre-construction and progress meetings with all project stakeholders
• Conduct post-construction interviews with key stakeholders to ensure original design objectives are met and performing as expected
• Document progress, submit daily progress reports, collect and submit feedback to Area Engineer and Regional Sales Manager
• Provide project site assessment using dynamic cone penetrometer (DCP) and/or other methods to provide data for Tensar solutions
• Assist Area Engineer with technical support for the sales team including using design software, writing reports and submittals

What You'll Need

• Civil or Geotechnical Engineering, Project Engineer, or Field Technician experience preferred
• Strong communication and technical presentation skills
• Must have outstanding communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective relationships across the business and work with all levels in the organization
• Must have a strong leadership ability to focus, prioritize, and match skills to tasks
• Ability to travel regionally between 25% - 50% of the time
• Prepare and deliver technical presentations and demonstrations

Your Education

• BS in Civil Engineering preferred
• BS or AD in Construction Management considered
• Certificate of Engineering in Training (EIT) or Professional Engineer (PE) Preferred
