Job summary

Control Solutions Group, Inc., an EMCOR Group company, seeks a Field Engineer, Building Management Systems (BMS) to join our New York City team. The role focuses on programming, graphics development, deployment, diagnosis, and commissioning of BAS/BMS systems in a construction setting.

The Field Engineer will oversee hardware and software in the field, coordinating with project teams and supervising installation subcontractors to ensure on-time delivery and compliance with project specifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in EE, ME, CE, math or physics.
• Minimum 5–7 years field experience in HVAC controls including DDC systems commissioning.
• Experience with pneumatic controls is preferred.
• Knowledge of Automated Logic commissioning tools is preferred.
• Ability to read/understand sequences of operation.
• Strong communication, organizational and documentation skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, WebCTRL, AutoCAD and related OS.

Responsibilities

• Develop project programming and graphics to specified sequences and site standards.
• Deploy system files on job sites and verify functionality; adjust as needed.
• Participate in multiple automation installation projects.
• Consult with Project Manager on scope, priorities and deadlines.
• Review documents and RFIs to confirm scope of work.
• Coordinate field activities and supervise installation subcontractors.
• Troubleshoot building automation systems including panels and electronics.
• Maintain cooperative relations with clients and other contractors.
