Job summary

Control Solutions Group, Inc., an EMCOR Group company, seeks a Field Engineer for Building Management Systems to join our New York City team. The role involves programming, graphics development, deployment, diagnosis, and commissioning of BAS/BMS systems on construction projects.

The candidate will supervise installation subcontractors, coordinate construction activities, and develop both hardware drawings and software in the field. Strong communication and project coordination are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in EE, ME, CE, Math, or Physics.
• 5–7 years field HVAC controls experience including DDC systems commissioning.
• Knowledge of Automated Logic commissioning tools.
• Ability to read and understand sequences of operation.
• Strong communication, organizational and documentation skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, WebCTRL, AutoCad, and various OS.
• Proven track record of completing jobs on schedule and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Develop project programming and graphics to meet sequences and graphics requirements.
• Deploy system files on job sites and confirm functionality.
• Participate in multiple automation installation projects.
• Consult with Project Manager on scope changes and deadlines.
• Review contract documents and RFIs to confirm scope.
• Troubleshoot and repair building automation system panels and components.
• Coordinate with technicians and field supervisors to ensure progress.
• Maintain cooperative working relationships with clients and subcontractors.
• Meet short and long-term deadlines and deliver quality service.
