Job summary

DPR Construction is seeking a field engineer to support coordination and execution of engineering activities on project sites. You will work with multidisciplinary teams to meet project goals, resolve technical challenges, and improve construction processes while ensuring quality standards.

Responsibilities include reviewing plans, assisting with inspections, organizing technical documents, and proposing efficiency improvements, including opportunities for prefabrication.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in construction management, engineering, a related field, or equivalent experience required.
• 2-4 years of experience in field engineering, construction management, or related field required.
• OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety certification within 6 months of hire required.
• First Aid and CPR certification required.
• ASHE, CHC or relevant market certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists with technical review and implementation of engineering plans independently, ensuring work meets project specifications and quality expectations.
• Works with project managers, field staff, superintendents, self-perform teams and subcontractors to help address general technical issues and keep the project moving forward.
• Supports site inspections and assessments, identifying potential risks and suggesting mitigation strategies.
• Assists with gathering and organizing technical documents to help keep information accurate and up-to-date.
• Recommends process improvements by analyzing field operations and suggesting methods or technologies to improve efficiency and quality.
