Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems seeks a Staff Field Engineer for on-site work at OKC with potential travel up to 50%. You will join a small team to repair or modify aerospace systems at development or field locations, coordinating with design and maintenance personnel.

The role requires a strong mechanical background, clear communication with government customers, and the ability to manage field activities within an IPT structure. Relocation assistance may be available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in STEM discipline with years of related engineering experience, as stated.
• Experience with aviation systems and subsystems.
• Ability to communicate with design engineers and lead field activities.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and resolve engineering production problems in manufacturing and design.
• Analyze specifications with engineers, quality and subcontractors to obtain technical information.
• Investigate defective or malfunctioning parts and develop corrective actions.
• Develop installation procedure steps and redline drawings for new parts.
• Facilitate field retrofit and provide training to technicians.
