Job summary

ICM, Inc. is seeking a Field Engineer for our Kansas City, KS project team. This regular full-time role supports planning, execution, and completion of industrial construction projects alongside project managers and subcontractors.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, a BS preferred, 2–5 years field construction experience, MS Project, and preferably AutoCAD. Must read P&ID’s and prints; travel up to 75% with per diem and a company vehicle provided.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; a bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• 2–5 years of field construction experience.
• Experience with Microsoft Project is required; AutoCAD preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in coordinating and managing industrial construction projects.
• Support development and maintenance of schedules, budgets, and resources.
• Communicate with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth execution.
• Monitor progress and report issues to the project manager.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards.
• Prepare project status reports and documentation.
• Contribute to a collaborative and positive work environment.

Essential Functions and Basic Duties:

• Assist in the coordination and management of industrial construction projects.
• Support the development and maintenance of project schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
• Communicate with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth project execution.

Education/Certification:

Required Knowledge & Experience:

• 2-5 years field construction experience preferred.
• Microsoft Project experience required
• AutoCAD experience preferred

Skills/Abilities:

• Ability to read Piping and Instrument Diagrams (P&ID’s)
• Ability to read civil, structural, architectural and mechanical prints
• Possess excellent computer skills utilizing MS Office products

Physical Activities and Requirements:

Must possess current, valid driver’s license with no restrictions. Up to 75% travel required or as needed.
