The Weitz Company is seeking a Project Engineer I for our Des Moines, IA office. This role supports the Industrial team, with travel as needed, and prioritizes preconstruction, planning, buyout, and closeout activities. Mechanical experience is a plus, and supervision of field personnel may occur.
You'll monitor project status, manage documents, RFIs, submittals, and change orders, coordinating with the project team to protect schedules and budgets. Travel to project sites will be required.

We are currently accepting applications for a Project Engineer to join our Industrial team. (Must be willing to travel based on the needs of the project). This role will be out of our Des Moines office. Mechanical experience preferred.
The Project Engineer I is responsible for several functions throughout the duration of assigned projects including preconstruction, planning, buyout, management and closeout. This role actively monitors project status and informs the project team of any issues that may impact the project schedule and/or budget. The Project Engineer I typically reports to the Project Manager and may supervise other site personnel.
