Job summary

GE HealthCare seeks a Senior Field Service Engineer to perform preventive maintenance and lead installation/repair of Nuclear Medicine equipment. You will troubleshoot, install, and service complex systems while driving customer satisfaction.

Strong communication with customers and on-call availability are required. Eligibility includes an Associate degree or equivalent military education with electronic equipment experience, or a high school diploma with five years in the field.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree or equivalent military education with 3 years servicing electronic equipment.
  • Or a high school diploma/GED with 5 years relevant experience.
  • Technical capability in Nuclear Medicine including troubleshooting, repair and installation.
  • Must have and maintain a valid Driver’s License.
  • Experience with Web applications and Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to be available after hours and/or work a rotating on-call schedule including weekends.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple, competing priorities while maintaining customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Perform timely and accurate preventative maintenance of medical equipment to ensure optimal patient care.
  • Troubleshoot, service repairs and installations of moderate complexity.
  • Lead communications with customers and act as escalation point for issues, including installations.
  • Own customer issues from dispatch or identification of issue to resolution.
  • Proactively engage with other team members to ensure appropriate solution for the customer.
  • Lead installations, validations, maintenance, and service repair needs on designated equipment.
  • Leverage customer knowledge and relationships to assist customers and service sales with contract and on demand revenue growth.
  • Maintain relationships with customers and ensure timely communication, resolution and proper follow up to drive customer satisfaction.
  • Adhere to company policies, procedures and hospital protocols to ensure regulatory and compliance requirements are met; document all work performed with daily debriefing and parts ordering.
  • Partner with the customer and/or sales to recommend value-added services for business efficiency.
  • Utilize the GEHC escalation process and collaborate with regional/national support to implement corrective actions.

Job Description Summary

The Senior Field Service Engineer performs on time and accurate Preventative Maintenance in one or more modalities of equipment. The Senior Field Service Engineer is aware of and follows all Field Modification Instructions and/or Instrument Service Information bulletins. Works independently to trouble shoot and perform moderately complex repairs on assigned equipment. Independently performs and leads equipment installations in one or more modalities. Responsible for driving customer satisfaction through Service Excellence.

Responsibilities
  • Perform timely and accurate preventative maintenance of medical equipment with a hospital or healthcare system to ensure optimal delivery of healthcare services to patients
  • Perform troubleshooting, service repairs and installations of moderate complexity
  • Lead communications with customers and serve as escalation point for customer related concerns, including installations
  • Own customer issues from dispatch or identification of issue to resolution.
  • Proactively engage with other team members to ensure appropriate solution for the customer
  • Leads installations, validations, maintenance, and service repair needs on designated equipment.
  • Leverage customer knowledge and relationships to assist customers and service sales with contract and on demand revenue growth.
  • Maintain relationships with customers and ensure timely communication, resolution and proper follow up to drive customer satisfaction
  • Adhere to company policies, procedures and hospital protocols to ensure regulatory and compliance requirements are met; ensuring documentation of all work performed is captured daily, including debriefing including metrics and ordering parts
  • Partner with the customer and/or the sales team to recommend value-added services that will help the customer run their business more efficiently
  • Utilize the GEHC escalation process, as needed, and work closely with region and national support to define and implement corrective action plans to resolve customer issues
Required Qualifications
  • Educational and Technical Requirements
    • Associate degree in related field or equivalent military education and 3 years of experience servicing electronic equipment
    • Or high school diploma/GED and 5 years of relevant experience
  • Technical capabilities in (Nuclear Medicine) including troubleshooting, repair and installation
  • Must have and maintain a valid Driver’s License
  • Experience with Web applications as well as Microsoft suite of products
  • Ability to be available after hours and/or work a rotating on-call schedule including weekends
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple, competing priorities while maintaining customer satisfaction
Special Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift, carry push and pull up to 35 lbs. unassisted and frequently bend, stoop, twist, climb, crouch/squat, kneel/crawl, sit and stand for long periods of time.
  • Ability to reach at, above and below shoulder level, flex/extend neck and have good hand and finger dexterity.

We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening. For U.S. based positions only, the pay range for this position is $85,280.00-$127,920.00 Annual. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the pay range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including skills, qualifications, experience and location. In addition, this position may also be eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI).
