Job summary

Tutor Perini Corporation seeks a Field Engineer for the Fresno, CA project office. You will review plans, develop schedules, coordinate with subcontractors, and assist with pre-construction activities on a major CP1 civil package.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or equivalent.
  • 5+ years of construction experience on heavy civil projects.
  • Knowledge of OSHA requirements and construction safety.
  • Experience with project controls (cost, forecasting, contracts).
  • Proficient in Primavera P6 and MS Office.

Responsibilities

  • Review project plans and develop a construction schedule in coordination with project-wide activities.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors on advanced material acquisitions and pre-construction deliverables.
  • Develops/assist with obtaining quotes and draft contracts to meet project requirements.
  • Prepare construction work plan packages and coordinate pre-construction meetings while ensuring prerequisites to start construction activities.
  • Prepare, update and distribute work activity schedules/updates, and communicate across discipline groups and agencies.
  • Monitor field construction process and provide layout checks and technical reviews.
  • Assist with subcontract administration and material suppliers through monitoring of correspondence, submittals, RFIs, and performance records.
  • Assist in preparing monthly reporting for progress payments, schedule updates, and issue tracking.
  • Participate in change orders and claims management; develop relationships with owners and subcontractors.
  • Maintain a safe, clean and productive environment and ensure compliance with safety standards.

TPZP is seeking a**Field Engineer**for the project office in **Fresno, CA****About California High Speed Rail- CP1*****Extraordinary Projects, Exceptional Performance***The California High-Speed Rail Authority’s Construction Package 1 (CP1) is the first significant construction contract executed on the Initial Operating Section of the High-Speed Rail project in California’s Central Valley.The CP1 construction area is a 32-mile stretch between Avenue 19 in Madera County to East American Avenue in Fresno County, including major work elements in downtown Fresno. Provides layout checks and technical reviews of work against requirements. Obtains confirmations from design engineer as needed* Assist with subcontract administration and permanent material suppliers through monitoring of correspondence, submittals, RFI's, and performance records; Maintains accurate payment records.* Assist in preparing monthly reporting for progress payments, schedule updates, and problem/issue tracking and resolution.
