Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking a qualified Emergency Medical Technician to respond to emergencies and transport patients to care facilities. You will assess patients, provide basic life support, and coordinate with other emergency services while maintaining equipment and documentation.

A valid EMT license and BLS are required. Position includes driving ambulances, adhering to safety protocols, and ongoing professional development within a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of EMT Basic Course.
• Must obtain EMT license in state of operation within 120 days of hire.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers.
• Current valid driver license in good standing.

Responsibilities

• Respond quickly and efficiently to emergency and non-emergency calls.
• Assess patient conditions to determine injuries or illnesses.
• Provide basic life support and administer first aid, CPR, and other BLS measures.
• Stabilize patients at the scene and during transport to medical facilities.
• Safely transport patients to hospitals or other medical facilities.
• Operate and drive ambulances and emergency vehicles safely.
• Communicate with other emergency services and family or staff.
• Maintain and stock equipment; document care provided and patient condition.
