Photon Brothers is hiring a Field Electrician to specialize in Tesla Powerwall installations and solar integration. Based at our Westminster, CO location, the role focuses on residential electrical work and energy storage solutions, with a strong emphasis on safety and customer service.
You will install, test and commission Powerwall systems, perform panel upgrades, and ensure seamless integration with solar and grid connections. Travel to various job sites may be required.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience as an electrician with a focus on residential electrical systems and energy storage solutions.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems including inverters, solar panels, energy storage solutions, and backup systems.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with customers professionally.
- High attention to detail, ensuring work is completed safely and to specifications.
- Must be able to travel to job sites and have a valid driver's license.
Responsibilities
- Installation of Tesla Powerwall systems: Install, test, and commission Tesla Powerwall home battery systems to meet safety and quality standards.
- Electrical work: Perform general electrical tasks, including wiring, circuit breakers, grounding, and panel upgrades to accommodate Powerwall installations.
- System Integration: Ensure seamless integration of Powerwall with solar panels, grid connections, and backup power configurations.
- Troubleshooting: Resolve issues related to Solar and Tesla Powerwall installations.
- Compliance & Safety: Ensure installations meet local electrical codes, Tesla specifications, and safety standards.
- Customer Interaction: Explain the installation process and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Documentation & Reporting: Complete jobsite documentation including safety reports, installation reports, and customer feedback.

Position Overview:
This position will be based out of our Westminster, CO location.
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Electrician to join our team, specializing in the installation and integration of Tesla Powerwall battery systems and Solar. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in residential electrical work, with specific expertise in energy storage solutions.
Job Responsibilities:
- Installation of Tesla Powerwall systems: Install, test, and commission Tesla Powerwall home battery systems to meet safety and quality standards
- Electrical work: Perform general electrical tasks, including wiring, circuit breakers, grounding, and panel upgrades to accommodate the installation of Powerwall and other energy storage solutions
- System Integration: Work with customers to ensure seamless integration of Powerwall with solar panel systems, grid connections, and backup power configurations
- Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Solar and Tesla Powerwall installations
- Compliance & Safety: Ensure all installations meet local electrical codes, Tesla specifications, and safety standards
- Customer Interaction: Engage with customers to explain the installation process, answer questions, and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction
- Documentation & Reporting: Complete and submit the necessary jobsite documentation, including safety reports, installation reports, and customer feedback
Requirements
- Experience : Minimum of 3 years of experience as an electrician, with a focus on residential electrical systems and energy storage solutions. Previous experience with Tesla Powerwall installation preferred, but not required.
- Technical Knowledge : Strong understanding of electrical systems, including inverters, solar panels, energy storage solutions, and battery-based backup systems.
- Customer Service : Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact with customers professionally.
- Attention to Detail : High attention to detail, ensuring work is completed safely and to specifications.
- Physical Requirements : Ability to work in various weather conditions, lift heavy equipment (up to 50 lbs), and work in confined spaces when needed.
- REQUIRED: Valid Residential Wireman (RW) license or higher (Journeyman or Master Electrician)
- REQUIRED: Must have a valid driver's license, a clean driving record for the last 3 years, and a minimum of 5 years of driving experience, in accordance with PB insurance parameters — no exceptions. Must be able to travel to job sites.
Pay for this position is $35-$44 per hour, depending on experience. Overtime opportunities may be available depending on seasonality and business needs.
This full-time role is eligible to participate in health (one plan is less than $35 per pay check!), dental, and vision insurance. Photon Brothers also offers a 401k with match, as well as company-sponsored life insurance and telehealth! Paid holidays and PTO are also offered with this position.
