Job summary

ERock is seeking an Electric Maintenance Technician to service generators, switchgear, and 24V control systems in the South Texas region. This field-based role involves hands-on maintenance, troubleshooting, and collaboration with mechanical teams in outdoor environments.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years of electrical maintenance experience, knowledge of 3-phase power, and the ability to interpret schematics. On-call availability, driving responsibilities, and lifting up to 50 lbs are required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of electrical maintenance experience, preferably with generators, switchgear, or 24V controls.
• Proficiency in generator theory, AC/DC circuit theory, protection relays, and electrical troubleshooting practices.
• Ability to interpret Electrical and Mechanical schematics.
• Strong multitasking capabilities to manage multiple projects.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Must possess valid driver's license with acceptable driving record; MVR check.
• On-call availability; ability to work evenings/weekends/holidays.
• Must stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine electrical maintenance on generators, switchgear, circuit breakers, and 24V control cabinets.
• Troubleshoot and repair 3-phase power systems, wiring, and generator controls.
• Diagnose faults in electrical panels, motor controls, and 24V systems.
• Collaborate with mechanical teams on equipment swaps and alternator repairs.
• Use test equipment like multimeters and megger to verify system function.
• Log work orders and track time via mobile tools and apps.
• Follow safety procedures and company policies.
• Safely operate company vehicles for field work.
