Job summary

Phillips, Inc. is seeking an experienced professional with a strong electrical background in transmission and/or substation construction to lead field safety initiatives and ensure compliance with OSHA 1910.269 and NFPA 70E.

The role focuses on real-time coaching, incident investigations, and mentoring field crews in safe work practices, with direct coordination with utility clients and owner representatives in high-risk environments.

Qualifications

• Electrical background with direct experience in transmission and/or substation construction.
• Experience supporting build-out of substations (greenfield or brownfield).
• Strong documentation and reporting skills.
• High credibility with electricians and linemen.
• Decisive in stop-work situations and field safety leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead field safety observations and coaching in real time.
• Perform JSA, pre-task planning, and energized work permitting.
• Lead incident investigations for electrical and high-energy events.
• Run Plan of the Day (POD) safety discussions and safety audits.
• Coordinate switching procedures with system operators.
• Work directly with utility clients and owner representatives.
