Job summary

Castelion is seeking an EHS Technician to provide hands-on field support across manufacturing, R&D and test operations. You will work on the production floor and in test areas, conducting inspections, handling safety equipment, and supporting training delivery while escalating hazards as needed.

Reporting to the EHS Manager, you will coordinate with the EHS Specialist to balance site coverage, maintain documentation, ensure hazard communication, and help maintain a fast-paced, high-hazard

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent plus related EHS education or certification.
• 1–3 years of EHS or safety support experience in manufacturing or R&D.
• Familiar with OSHA and Cal-OSHA requirements.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds and wear PPE.
• Must meet U.S. export control requirements (ITAR/EAR).

Responsibilities

• Perform daily/weekly inspections of manufacturing, R&D, and test areas using approved checklists.
• Coordinate coverage with the EHS Specialist to avoid gaps or duplication.
• Verify PPE, lockout devices, eyewash and shower stations, fire extinguishers, and spill kits.
• Triage and maintain hazardous waste accumulation areas and arrange shipments.
• Assist with chemical storage segregation and inventory to support hazard communication.
• Support on-site response actions as directed.
• Coordinate EHS training logistics including room setup, attendance tracking, and records filing.
