Job summary

Roboflow in the United States is hiring an Edge Engineer to deploy and support computer vision hardware in industrial environments. You’ll assemble edge devices, configure networks, and lead on-site deployments with Jetson-based boxes, cameras, and networking gear.

Travel up to 75% is required; you’ll work with solution architects and customer teams, write clear docs, and contribute to internal tooling and SOPs. This role offers a competitive OTE and equity, plus stipends and health coverage.

Qualifications

• Hands-on hardware experience with embedded devices (e.g., NVIDIA Jetson) and industrial cameras.
• Experience with computer vision workflows and Roboflow-like pipelines.
• Self-starter who operates autonomously in the field.
• Strong problem-solving and on-site debugging under time constraints.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; documentation.
• Proficiency in Python and Bash scripting.
• Linux and networking proficiency including nmcli, ifconfig, systemd, Docker.

Responsibilities

• Hardware Management & Logistics: Assemble, configure, and test edge devices; manage hardware inventory; coordinate field support.
• Field Deployments & Onsite Execution: Lead on-site installations; perform mounting, cabling, and PoE configuration; ensure proper connectivity.
• System Configuration & Support: Troubleshoot cameras and inference pipelines; manage networking on edge devices.
• Process Improvement & Documentation: Develop SOPs, wiring diagrams, and setup guides; share field feedback for product improvements.
