Job summary

Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. in Oklahoma City offers an Ecologist Intern position for Summer 2027. You will gain hands-on experience supporting project teams as we help commercial, institutional, and energy clients navigate environmental regulatory requirements.

Fieldwork in wetlands and streams will be the core focus with some office reporting tasks. You will work under a mentor, participate in workshops to build professional skills, and communicate with clients as needed on projects

Qualifications

• Open to college students pursuing a Bachelor's degree, preferably in Biological or Environmental Sciences.
• Must be fit for duty to perform field activities in inclement weather/heat.
• Willingness to travel for out-of-town projects.
• Ability to work flexible hours and have an awareness for safety.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Local candidates preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with wetland and stream delineation projects.
• Prepare delineation reports and assist with permit applications.
• Majority of time in the field with some office work.
• Collaborate with project teams across locations.
