Job summary

Langan is seeking an Entry-Level Geotechnical Engineer to join our Salt Lake City team. This role supports field investigations, monitors earthwork construction, and helps prepare logs, reports, and geotechnical analyses for large-scale projects.

Ideal candidates have a Civil/Geotechnical background, 0–2 years of experience, and are prepared to spend most of their time in the field with occasional travel. EIT/FE is preferred and full benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years of work-related experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering
• EIT Certification or FE exam preferred
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Willingness to spend majority in the field
• Travel may be required based on business needs

Responsibilities

• Assist planning and execution of field investigations
• Log borings and test pits; collect samples
• Observe foundation and earthwork construction
• Prepare logs and field forms
• Conduct site reconnaissance and document searches
• Report problems to supervisor
• Perform other duties as requested
