Job summary

Whitman, Requardt & Associates, LLP in Morgantown, WV is seeking Construction Engineer Interns to support regional Construction Managers in the management and inspection of government construction projects. You will apply engineering principles to the design, procurement, delivery and close-out of projects, with hands-on field work at client sites, under supervision of a licensed engineer.

Qualifications include pursuing a BS in Civil or Construction Engineering, prior field experience

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing Bachelor of Science degree in Civil or Construction Engineering or related field.
• Prior experience in construction engineering, inspection and testing preferred; certifications such as VDOT, ACI, DEQ are preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively at all levels and work cooperatively with others.

Responsibilities

• Assist regional Construction Managers in construction management and inspection of projects.
• Support contract management, change orders, office engineering and records management.
• Assist with CPM scheduling, cost estimating, budgeting and risk management; participate in project close-out and documentation.
• Work under the supervision of a licensed engineer at client sites and project locations.
