Job summary

Wampum Hardware Co in New Galilee, PA seeks a Driller to support construction projects outdoors in all weather, lifting up to 60 pounds and operating the drill at the bench. Training provided includes MSHA Part-48, Hazmat, and OSHA courses.

You will drive to the drill bench, set up and inspect the drill, monitor controls, and complete drill logs while reporting issues to the Blaster in Charge and Manager. Safety is a priority on every job.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to work outside in all weather conditions.
• Physical ability to lift up to 60 lbs regularly.
• Strong teamwork skills and reliable transportation.
• Must meet state and federal explosive laws and qualify as ATF explosive possessor.
• CDL with clean driving record preferred.
• Mechanical ability and willingness to learn a plus.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screen, DOT physical, and background checks.

Responsibilities

• Drive to drill bench and set up drill.
• Inspect and service drill and monitor controls during operation.
• Fill drill log and communicate conditions to Blaster in Charge.
• Maintain safety as a priority and report concerns to the Blaster in Charge and Manager.
• Inspect and service drill after completion and suggest improvements.
