Job summary

Wampum Hardware Co is seeking a full-time on-site labor/driver assistant in Peebles, OH. The role involves working outdoors in all weather, helping load and unload materials, and supporting the driver and blaster on site.

You will receive MSHA Part-48, Hazmat, and OSHA training, with safety as a priority. The job requires lifting up to 60 pounds, teamwork, and compliance with state and federal regulations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to work outside in all weather conditions.
• Physical ability to lift up to 60 pounds regularly.
• Strong teamwork and reliable transportation.
• Must meet requirements of all State and Federal explosive laws and qualify as an ATF explosive possessor.
• Successfully pass pre-employment drug screen, DOT physical, and background checks.
• Ability to follow all of Wampum Hardware Co policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist the driver load a truck with product and travel to job sites.
• Assist with loading holes and other labor tasks on construction-like terrain.
• Use shovels, hand tools, power tools, and operate around heavy construction equipment.
• Maintain a clean, safe working environment and report safety concerns to the Site Manager.
• Report equipment or mechanical failures and help prepare for the next day’s operations.
